Blackheath Fireworks will take place on Saturday 2 November.

Lewisham Council, with some assistance from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, are struggling to keep the fireworks running every year due to financial contraints.
There is a crowdfunding page set up for this event
https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/blackheath-fireworks2019 and anyone who has enjoyed the fireworks in the past and would like to see them continue into the future is encouraged to contribute.

This year’s event will include:

  • a funfair from 12 noon
  • food and bars from 5pm
  • a spectacular fireworks display from 8pm which will last around 15 minutes.
There is also a need for as many volunteers as possible to help with the collection on the night – about £10,000 gets collected this way, but more help is needed especially on the Greenwich side. Potential volunteers should contact Kellie Blake at kellie.blake@lewisham.gov.uk
